Driving Directions: On Deshka River charters we meet our guests at the Deshka Landing boat launch. Follow the simple directions below to find the Deshka Landing.
Driving Directions to Deshka Landing from Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport.
- Take International Airport Rd. to the North bound Minnesota exit.
- Follow Minnesota into down town which turns into "I" street. Go all the way to 6th Ave.
- Turn right on 6th Ave., which is a one-way street that. 6th Ave. turns into the Glenn Hwy heading north to Wasilla.
- Follow the Glenn Hwy north about 30 miles to the Parks Hwy intersection and follow the signs into Wasilla, you are now on the Parks Hwy. (Hwy 3)
- Continue north through Wasilla staying on the Parks Hwy approximately 35 minutes.
- You will enter the small town of Willow, Alaska.
- Look for a big sign that says Willow Creek Recreational Area and Deshka Landing (around mile 70.5)
- Turn left on to Willow Creek Parkway.
- Go 1.9 Miles to Crystal Lake Road and turn left (You will see a big sign that says Deshka Landing)
- Go 2.3 miles and turn right on Mishap Road - stay on the pavement. (You will see a Deshka Landing sign on right)
- Go approx 4.8 miles and until the road dead ends into the Deshka Landing.
- Stop at the automated gate and pay $7 for parking. (You will need a credit or debit card)
- NOTE: Just inside the gate about 30 feet on your right you will see gas pumps. Stop there. We wil be right there to meet you. Ask for iFishAlaska Guide Service.
NOTE: Because we follow the hottest fishing, we may be fishing in one of several other locations on the day of your trip. Please call us the day before your trip to learn where we will be fishing and to get the proper directions to the boat launch we will be departing from. 907-357-0131
DRIVING TIME ESTIMATION:
- From Anchorage driving time to the Deshka Landing is approximately 90 minutes.
- From Wasilla driving time is approximately 45 minutes.
